Dr. Shaan Patel, MD, MBA is the Founder & CEO of Prep Expert, winner of a Shark Tank investment deal with billionaire Mark Cuban, a bestselling author, received his MD/MBA from Yale and USC, and a board-certified dermatologist physician. Dr. Patel raised his own SAT score 640 points from average to perfect when he was in high school. He has now developed SAT & ACT prep curriculum and courses that have helped over 100,000 students improve their own scores, get into top universities, and win over $100 million in college scholarships!

Miguel Chavira attended UT Austin, where he earned a BS in Computer Science and a BA English as well as a TEFL Certificate. Miguel has accumulated five years of tutoring experience across a number of organizations, giving him insight into a wide variety of strategies and advice. He can tutor any of the following subjects: ACT, SAT, PSAT, (undergraduate & AP) Computer Science, (AP) Biology, AP Calculus (A, B, C), (AP) Macro & Micro Economics, (AP) English (Language & Literature), ESL, any high school math, (AP) Physics, Spanish 1 & 2, AP Statistics, and essay writing & composition. As for teaching style, Miguel encourages honest self-reflection and provides realistic feedback and goals, advising students towards more optimal methods but coaxing them toward taking charge of their learning and progress. Isabella scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, ACT, and PSAT, among other standardized tests. She has worked as an instructor with Prep Expert for over a year and is currently completing her MBA at UT Dallas. As a first-generation student in the US, she understands the unique challenges multicultural students face academically and is committed to providing creative, achievement-oriented instruction so her students can unlock their full academic potential. Through positive reinforcement, lots of practice, and a few guest appearances from her bunnies, Isabella’s students will quickly discover the joys of learning and success!

Hello! My name is Olivia Owens and I have been instructing and tutoring at Prep Expert for over 3 years. I am originally from Champaign, Illinois and graduated at the top of my class as Valedictorian. I scored a 35 on the ACT twice, making me a 99th percentile scorer, and am a National Merit Scholar, which earned me a full-ride scholarship to the University of Alabama. I graduated Summa Cum Laude form the University of Alabama Spring of 2020 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. I currently live in Fort Worth, Texas and work as an engineer for a defense contractor. In my free time I love to watch college football and basketball, online shop, and learn dad jokes from my dad.

Ilia is a top 1% SAT scorer; he graduated Magna Cum Laude and has taught university- level subjects for English and Linguistics majors, as well as SAT and ACT prep classes for high- school students. He has a PhD in Linguistics. Working part-time in a non-profit for a number of years, he has supervised research projects and worked on content creation. His passion is to see students master the subject they study and experience their “aha” moments.

Jameson Fajfer is an Engineering teacher at a college prep school located in Tampa, Florida. Since he was young, Jameson has consistently scored in the 99th percentile on tests. He even ranked among the top 20 students in his home state of Illinois on a math test that was designed to challenge students' math abilities in 7th grade. Jameson's exceptional academic performance continued when he scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT and earned a 5 on both AP Physics C and AP Calculus BC, which gave him an edge in engineering school. However, he decided to study Theology at Ave Maria University, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree. Jameson enjoys musical performance, theater, and education. His teaching style is focused on pattern recognition and understanding the underlying concepts of the subject matter so that students can comprehend the problem in front of them and solve it with confidence. Jameson's desire to see his students succeed is what drives him, and he intends to teach for the rest of his life.
