Dr. Shaan Patel, MD, MBA is the Founder & CEO of Prep Expert, winner of a Shark Tank investment deal with billionaire Mark Cuban, a bestselling author, received his MD/MBA from Yale and USC, and a board-certified dermatologist physician. Dr. Patel raised his own SAT score 640 points from average to perfect when he was in high school. He has now developed SAT & ACT prep curriculum and courses that have helped over 100,000 students improve their own scores, get into top universities, and win over $100 million in college scholarships!

Emma Sayler is a senior at the University of Notre Dame with over 800 hours of experience tutoring and teaching preschoolers through high school seniors. A student of psychology and education, Emma is involved in federally funded research investigating how children learn math through her University. Additionally, she is a 99th percentile scorer on the SAT who achieved two perfect sections. Emma's strong academic interest in educational psychology informs her approach to tutoring: she always strives to deliver content in an engaging and pedagogical way and relies on evidence-based tutoring techniques to help her students learn efficiently and effectively. In her free time, Emma enjoys playing the cello, practicing yoga and pilates, and watching (and commentating on) reality tv with friends. Ilia is a top 1% SAT scorer; he graduated Magna Cum Laude and has taught university- level subjects for English and Linguistics majors, as well as SAT and ACT prep classes for high- school students. He has a PhD in Linguistics. Working part-time in a non-profit for a number of years, he has supervised research projects and worked on content creation. His passion is to see students master the subject they study and experience their “aha” moments.

Taylor Trautwein is currently attending the University of California Irvine pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology on a pre-medical track. She plans on graduating within three years due to the credit received from passing eleven AP exams and her International Baccalaureate Diploma. She also scored a 1530 on her SAT, achieving the 99th percentile rank. Taylor has worked in many fields academically and is even a published poet. She has also won awards in several fields at the district and state level in competitions such as National History Day and the Mu Alpha Theta convention. In her free time, Taylor likes to figure skate, ski, read, and craft. She takes an empathetic approach to teaching, helping all while understanding not everyone learns at the same pace. She also has a deep passion for research and always goes above and beyond to ensure her students’ success. Taylor operates in both the eastern standard and pacific standard time zones and is incredibly flexible with her availability. Taylor is primarily available every day at night and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the day.

Miguel Chavira attended UT Austin, where he earned a BS in Computer Science and a BA English as well as a TEFL Certificate. Miguel has accumulated five years of tutoring experience across a number of organizations, giving him insight into a wide variety of strategies and advice. He can tutor any of the following subjects: ACT, SAT, PSAT, (undergraduate & AP) Computer Science, (AP) Biology, AP Calculus (A, B, C), (AP) Macro & Micro Economics, (AP) English (Language & Literature), ESL, any high school math, (AP) Physics, Spanish 1 & 2, AP Statistics, and essay writing & composition. Shefali Sanwal is attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison, majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. She scored in the top 1% on both the SAT and the ACT and achieved National Merit Finalist status. Nirmal Karthik is attending Georgia Tech and pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. He graduated from his B.S. in Computer Engineering with a perfect GPA, 2 years early due to credit earned from scoring a 5 on 16 AP exams and taking 27 credits of dual enrollment. Nirmal scored a 1560 on the SAT and is a National Merit Scholar in addition to being an Eagle Scout and valedictorian of his class. Through his five years of both voluntary and paid tutoring experience, Nirmal has developed a passion for helping students reach their full academic potential and emphasizes an approach focused on helping each student develop an intuition for the subject matter rather than simply memorizing it. In his free time, Nirmal enjoys biking, camping, and skydiving. He is generally available on weeknights and is located in Eastern Time.

Tristan McEneaney is attending Santa Fe College, where he majors in Mathematics. He scored in the ninety-ninth percentile on the SAT. He graduated from the Creative Writing program at his high school, and he maintains a love for English as well as math. He is a versatile, engaged instructor, and he believes strongly that patience is key to motivating students to perform their best. When not teaching, Tristan enjoys fantasy football and old BioWare games. Tristan is generally available weekday evenings and weekends.

Hi, my name is Kevin! I have scored a 1570 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT making me a 99th percentile scorer on both. In addition, I have passed a total of 15 AP tests with a 4.6 average, making me the single recipient of the 2016 Nevada State AP Scholar Award. I'm currently attending the university here in my home city of Las Vegas where I'm studying hard x-ray photochemistry (I shoot high energy light at stuff to make novel chemical reactions). I've also started to branch out into computational physics where I use neural networks to predict optimal configurations of atoms for complex proteins and crystals. I've been with PrepExpert for about 3 years now, and I'm hoping to eventually become a physics professor. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I'm always excited for an opportunity to work with more students! On my free time, I like to watch films and listen to music. I am originally from Champaign, Illinois and graduated at the top of my class as Valedictorian. I scored a 35 on the ACT twice, making me a 99th percentile scorer, and am a National Merit Scholar, which earned me a full-ride scholarship to the University of Alabama. I graduated Summa Cum Laude form the University of Alabama Spring of 2020 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
