I was fortunate enough to recieve Miguel as an instructor, he has taught me alot not only about the SAT but also studying and general test taking strategies. At first I was very unsure about taking a prep class as they are fairly expensive but finally I was convinced to enroll in prepexpert's SAT program. He is very smart and intelligent and I feel as though I have leanred a lot about reading and writng and math from during this six week class. He is also very kind open to questions we have and can be a little funny sometimes here and there. The homework was an oppurtunity to pracitice the strategies we learned in class, it was often a good place to replicate test day or enviroment.

Honestly, the homeowrk was stressufl in the very beginning... but about halway through I noticed that I wasn't struggling! My instructors were Miguel Chavira and Nirmal. I loved the schedule and the amount of homework, I felt like the course was organized very well with math on one day and reading and writing on the other. I liked that we had textbooks with notes that we could work along with as the class takes place. Compared to other attempts I have had on trying to improve my score on the SAT I loved that this course has an organized schedule with many strategies for every concept on the test. My highest SAT score before the course was 1450 but I feel confident that I can improve this score and hopefully get a score in the 1500s and prep expert and my teachers has made this possible for me. I had taken another SAT preparation course before Prep Expert and I did not feel as prepared for the test as I do now with this course, especially because there were not as many strategies and did not cover as many concepts as Prep Expert. Now that I have studied every question type in depth and know the strategies to answer them, I now feel very prepared and confident that I can improve my score.

The lessons and practices we have done for the past weeks have helped me figure out what I need to work on. My teachers were Mr. Miguel and Nirmal. I liked his tips and how he emphasized that we shouldn't assume in the reading section. I would say I improved so much in reading with those little tips. I value his comprise to our class and how he never gets tired of asking our questions. Even though he has already answered that question 100 times he will answer it again and with a good attitude. It is nice to see him as an example and how he shared with us that his initial score was a low one and his final score was a GREAT one. I want to be like that and I do see myself improving. Another thing that I also liked was his tips on mental health and the pressure that the test might cause. I always felt like it was a safe space with Mr. Miguel and believe me, I was never afraid of asking something. Even though I haven't taken my test yet I do feel like I am improving. For some practice tests I have taken my score has improved to 1410 and 1420. I know I am proud of myself for achieving this but I wouldn't have achieved this without Mr. Miguel. Nirmal and Miguel Chavira were so helpful and patient. I have not been so confident for the SAT than after this course. The best thing about this course is that they use real College Board questions rather than sub-par questions. I would recommend this course if you want a chance to do good on the SAT.
