How to Improve Your SAT Score From Average to Perfect
When I first started 2400 Expert, I put a lot of emphasis on my perfect SAT score. The whole message was focused on how rare it is to get a perfect SAT score.

When I was first starting out, I had to lean on my perfect SAT score so much because I didn’t have a track record of proven results. Now that we have tens of thousands of students who have used our SAT prep strategies to improve their SAT scores, my own perfect SAT score doesn’t matter all that much.
Ironically, what’s more important than my perfect SAT score is actually my average SAT score. When I first took a practice SAT exam, I started just above average. So it was improving my own SAT score hundreds of points that allowed me to learn the knowledge and skills I needed to go from average and elite. To improve your SAT score, you must spend dozens (if not hundreds) of hours practicing for the test.
The fact that I did not start out with a perfect SAT score was essential for the success of 2400 Expert. If I had started with an SAT score that was perfect or near-perfect, then I wouldn’t have learned how to improve my score. If I didn’t learn how to improve my own score, then I wouldn’t have been able to teach other students how to improve their scores.
When was in high school, I kept a notebook full of observations, thoughts, and ramblings about the SAT. This notebook would later form the basis of our curriculum at 2400 Expert. Had I not recorded the process of how to go from an average to a perfect SAT score, none of this would have been possible. Thankfully, I kept that notebook in college.

In college, I then spent thousands of hours refining and writing clear strategies that students could follow. I didn’t want to offer strategies that other test prep companies had. Instead, I went to great lengths to determine how my mind simplified concepts and thought about questions. I then tried to convey that material as clearly as possible in written form. Writing an SAT textbook is one of the most challenging academic tasks I have ever taken on (even more difficult than studying for the United States Medical Licensing Exam Step 1 — for those of you med school folks out there!).
But my hard work paid off. The material has resonated extremely well with students and parents alike. My favorite part of 2400 Expert is receiving messages about how students have improved their SAT scores, get into great colleges, won scholarships, and learned strategies that help them on tests far beyond the SAT.
